Tampa Zoo's Baby Clouded Leopards Growing by Leaps and Bounds

Tampa’s Lowry Park Zoo’s clouded leopard cubs are getting bigger and are ready for a new home. The zoo released new video on Tuesday, April 26, of the two-month-old twins Aiya and Shigu. The twins will be moving to the main clouded leopard exhibit as a safer place for them to learn their new motor skills, according to the zoo. The public will be able to see the cubs once a day.

The zoo staff has been caring for the twins since their birth when their mother became anxious and stopped caring for them. Clouded leopards, which are a vulnerable species, are typically hand-reared to help them survive. The cubs will have alternate exhibit times with the zoo’s adult clouded leopards and will be reintroduced to each other at a later date.
