Thousands Hold Vigil for Paris in Copenhagen

Thousands gathered in Copenhagen on Sunday evening to mourn the victims of Friday’s Paris attacks in a vigil held outside the French embassy, The Local Denmark reported. Police said that up to 20,000 people turned out in solidarity with France, including Prime Minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen.

“The attack on Paris – the city of cities, the city of lights, the city of love – was an attack on all of us,” Rasmussen said. “We don’t yet know the final extent of the gruesome attack, but we know that it is one of the worst terror events in Europe in modern times."
