US Coast Guard Rescues Man Missing at Sea for 66 Days

A man who spent more than 60 days stranded at sea was rescued on Thursday, April 2, around 200 miles off the coast of Cape Hatteras, North Carolina. The man was spotted on his disabled sailboat by a crew member aboard a German container ship, the Houston Express. The ship’s crew then hoisted the man onto their tanker and radioed the US Coast Guard for aid.
