Video Shows Letter From Bin Laden's Compound

The Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) released video on May 20 showing handwritten letters seized from Osama bin Laden’s compound in Abbottabad, Pakistan, during a raid conducted by US Navy SEALs on May 2, 2011, the night he was killed.

The letters, translated here by ODNI, are believed to have been written by bin Laden’s son Saad, who was reportedly killed by a US drone in 2009. The first letter is a last will written by Saad to his wife, giving her his wishes in the event of his death. The second, dated August 2008, is addressed to his “dear father” and asks that he take care of Saad’s wife and children.
