Vigil Held for Shot Ferguson Police Officers

Dozens attended a candlelight vigil in Ferguson, Missouri, on Thursday, March 12, for two city police officers shot in the early hours of that morning during a protest calling for more city officials to resign.

Organizers said the vigil was also held for “all who mourn”, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. Reverend Traci D. Blackmon, who organized the vigil, prayed for the injured officers – but also said protests against police brutality would resume. Credit: Steven Thrasher/The Guardian
