White House on Lockdown Following 'Loud Noise'

The White House was locked down due to a “loud noise” as President Barack Obama and his family prepared for their departure to Selma, Alabama, on March 7, to take part in commemorations for the 50th anniversary of Bloody Sunday, a historical landmark during America’s civil rights movement.

According to reports, the lockdown was prompted by a nearby vendor cart, east of the North Lawn, that had caught fire. Credit: YouTube/Helen Hou-Sandi
