New York City Rally Approaches Times Square

Hundreds marched in New York City for criminal justice reform on Wednesday evening in solidarity with Baltimore, where the death of a black man in police custody led to unrest. In New York, people gathered in Union Square and split into groups to march. One group converged at the entrance of the Holland Tunnel, closing it to outbound traffic.

More than a dozen people were arrested for blocking the street in Union Square, according to NBC New York. Another group held a ‘die-in’ in Times Square, according to CBS News. Credit: Instagram/Alan Rusbridger
