The Civic Hybrid returns for 2025 with more torque than an Si and few, if any, frustrating hybrid quirks.

The new Civic Hybrid's powertrain makes 200 horsepower and 232 pound-feet of torque.

In most situations, the engine's sole job is to generate electricity for the traction motor.

All Civics, hybrid and nonhybrid alike, get a nose job for 2025.

You can tell the hybrid apart from the others by its body-color chin spoiler.

With no conventional transmission, this Honda attempts to trick you into thinking it has the world's slickest automatic by modulating engine rpm to rise and then fall as if taking a pause during an upshift.

The 2025 Civic sedans get darker taillights.

Honda improved some of the driver-assist features included in the Civic's standard Honda Sensing package.

The Civic Hybrid will be offered in sedan and hatchback body styles.

Estimated fuel economy is a thrifty 50 mpg city and 47 mpg highway.
