The sporty Volkswagen Jetta GLI has been refreshed for the 2025 model year. While its powertrain is unchanged, it brings attractive new styling and an upgraded cabin.
The Jetta GLI now features a pointier front end with a thinner upper grille and headlights.
The Jetta GLI also gains the same full-width taillight look seen on less powerful Jettas.
The GLI also rolls on new 18-inch wheels and offers a new black wheel package.
The GLI is still motivated by a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder that churns out 228 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque.
While the base Jetta dropped its manual transmission, the GLI retains the six-speed stick-shift alongside the seven-speed dual-clutch auto.
The GLI also still comes with upgraded brakes, a limited-slip differential, adaptive dampers, and a raspier exhaust.
The cabin looks more modern with a new floating 8.0-inch touchscreen.
The GLI's cabin continues to feature red accents and Vienna leather seats.
There is also a new climate control setup that uses capacitive touch buttons and a new 15-watt wireless charger.
Sales of the 2025 Jetta GLI will begin by the end of the third quarter of 2024.
