The first series saw the town’s inhabitants fight to stay alive as nocturnal creatures creep out of the nearby woods at night, characterised by their exaggerated smiles and incredibly leisurely pace. With limited knowledge of how the town operates, the characters discover they all entered the continuous town from different parts of the USA.

Season one ended with a failed attempt to contact the outside world, as well as the surprise arrival of a coach full of people as the sun began to set. As the new prisons adjust to life in the town, more secrets were revealed along the way.

After a successful attempt at killing one of the creatures, new dangers plague the town. Over the course of the first two series, the townspeople attempt to break out but with little success - until the end of the second season.

The last moments of series two see Tabitha Matthews pushed out of a lighthouse window in the middle of the forest by the mysterious boy in white, who apologises and says, “this is the only way”. Tabitha later wakes up in a hospital, implying she has finally escaped to the outside world.

According to Radio Times, season three of FROM the release has been confirmed for autumn 2024.
