A village restaurant, cafe and deli has closed after an "incredible ride".

The Lemon and Rosemary Yard, in what was previously the 16th-century Mermaid Inn pub, opened under the management of Abbi Saunt and Alex Wrzava in December 2022.

The restaurant in Elsing, near Dereham, announced its closure on social media on Saturday morning.

The owners said: "The past 18 months have been an incredible ride and we would like to thank our customers for supporting us through this journey.

"We’ve enjoyed every second of it and now it is time for us to move on to new adventures.

"We couldn’t have done this without our loving family, friends and our wonderful team of lemons - we are so grateful for you all."

The restaurant was known for its popular afternoon tea with its signature cannolis to create an Italian twist on a traditional menu.
