Viral Marsh family return with performance of Do You Hear The People Sing from Les Misérables

A family who went viral with their lockdown-themed version of One Day More from Les Misérables are at it again for one final time.

The Marsh family from Faversham in Kent have returned with a performance of Do You Hear The People Sing from the same musical.

The family are raising money for World Health Organisation's Covid-19 Fund and are asking anyone has been enjoying their videos to make a donation, either through Facebook (where funds are matched) or directly to the fund's website.

Dad Ben Marsh posted the video on Facebook, which sees the family set up with microphones in their living room. The words to the song have been rewritten as a call to come together and support one another.

Set up with microphones in their living room, the four children, Alfie, 13, Thomas, 12, Ella, 10 and Tess, eight, sing: “When the beating of our hearts echoes the beating of our drums, there is a world we can restart when tomorrow comes.”

Their previous adaptation of One More Day weaved in the most common complaints and woes felt by people during the coronavirus lockdown. The video was televised around the globe.

They have posted videos of their performances online before, including one on Mother's Day and at Christmas.

Les Mis has been a popular choice for musical theatre fans and stars singing in lockdown. Les Mis supergroup the Barricade Boys performed a rendition of Bring Him Home in support of the NHS.
