We visited BalletBoyz during their rehearsal at Sadler's Wells

Playing with the concept of balance and imbalance, BalletBoyz are back with a quartet of new works.

Fourteen Days comprise of four dance pieces created and choreographed within a fortnight.

In this video, London Evening Standard’s Online arts writer Jessie Thompson visits the 11-strong all-male troupe during their rehearsal at London’s Sadler’s Wells Theatre and chats with their rehearsal director Charlotte Pook.

The night features pieces choreographed by Javier de Frutos (Life), BBC Strictly Come Dancing judge Craig Revel Horwood, Ivan Perez (Young Men) and Christopher Wheeldon (An American in Paris, Royal Opera House’s Alice in Wonderland).

The choreographers have teamed up with composers Scott Walker, Charlotte Harding, Joby Talbot and Keaton Henson to create their pieces.

Award-winning Fallen forms the second part of the evening, which is choreographed by acclaimed choreographer Russell Maliphant, lighting by Michael Hulls and music by French film composer Armand Amar.

BalletBoyz will be on tour this autumn across the UK.
