The Voice is planning an OAP version
We've had The Voice Kids, so it's perhaps not surprising that the franchise is looking into a spin-off revolving around OAPs next.
The Voice Senior is currently in the works, with plans to feature only contestants aged 65 or over... but just in Holland for now.
Broadcast reports that there will be no live shows. Instead, there will only be a couple of blind audition episodes before moving on to a knockout round and a final.
As things stand, nothing is planned for the UK – but The Voice producer Talpa Media hopes that The Voice Senior will be a hit among Dutch viewers.
"Given the success of The Voice Kids, which has close to 40 versions, we are excited and hopeful that this will a very good companion," Talpa Media's Maarten Meijs said.
The Voice UK recently confirmed its new line-up for the next series.
Former X Factor star Olly Murs has signed up to join returning coaches will.i.am, Jennifer Hudson and the legendary Sir Tom Jones for the reality show's upcoming series.
Replacing Gavin Rossdale, Olly will now be given a coveted spinning red chair of his own, as he hopes to coach one hopeful act to their chance at stardom.
"I'm absolutely buzzing about being a coach on The Voice UK and can't wait to sit in the big red chair alongside will, Jennifer and Tom," he said.
"I'm excited to mentor new artists and without doubt, I'm in it to WIN!"
The Voice UK airs on ITV, and will return next year.
