Voice UK singer defies odds to get through the Battles round
The Voice UK returned tonight (February 23) with the first batch of The Battles rounds, but did the right singers make it through to the knockout phase of the competition?
Well, as Sir Tom Jones' two candidates Jimmy Bailito and Roger Samuels took to the stage (with a stunning rendition of Labrinth's 'Let it Be'), the decision regarding who's the bigger talent was perhaps one of the hardest tonight.
As father-of-eight Roger won over his coach's heart, Jimmy was then offered up to the other judges as a potential 'steal'.
Black Eyed Peas icon will.i.am stepped up to the plate, with Olly Murs also tailing Jimmy's talent, and it became a fight over who the singer himself would choose.
A dream situation, right?

This was a change of heart for Olly, who hadn't turned around for the guy when he first appeared on the show last year or this time around. "Don't let me make the same mistake a third time," he begged.
It worked – Jimmy eventually offered his loyalty to the former X Factor star's team.
Celebrating the rescue of Jimmy on Twitter, fans of the show shared their feelings on the social media platform. Take a look at their reactions below.
Jimmy.....had a Damon Albarn about him. Takes me back to the 90s. Love it! So glad he’s been stolen!!!!! #thevoiceuk
