Volunteer cuddlers help premature babies grow

Donna Garcia is a grandmother and a volunteer cuddler at the neo-natal intensive care unit at Valley Children's Hospital in Fresno, California.

Garcia says she thinks the cuddling and holding helps calm the tiny babies down.

Emmie was born pre-mature, weighing just two and a half pounds. Her mom, Chantelle Haynie, says the program makes her happy because she'd much rather have someone holding her baby than Emmie just crying in a crib.

Currently 70 people voluteer to cuddle babies at the California hospital.
