Police have issued an appeal after a man went missing shortly after visiting the Natural History Museum with his father.

Mazhar Ahmad, 58, was last seen around Hyde Park Corner just after 5pm last Thursday.

He had been visiting the museum with his father when he made off after they left, police said.

Mr Ahmad’s father last saw him outside the museum, heading towards Knightsbridge.

Police said that Mr Ahmad is vulnerable and requires medication for his mental health that he does not have with him.

He speaks very little English and will not talk to strangers.

Officers are concerned that he will be unable to ask for help or may have been taken unwell somewhere.

Mr Ahmad is of medium build and has short dark hair.

He is wearing the same jumper seen in the photo released by police, black trousers, white shoes and a brown cap.

Anyone who has seen Mazhar Ahmad, should contact police on 101, quoting reference 6868/06JUN24.
