A walker was rescued after suffering a medical episode on an afternoon walk.

A call was made to Wasdale Mountain Rescue Team on Wednesday afternoon (April 17). A walker had suffered a medical episode near Wasdale Head, on the descent from Scafell Pike.

Luckily, a vehicle with team members from the rescue team were already nearby, so a quick response was possible. Others responded to the full callout, meaning people were able to get to the walker and give them medical attention.
