Walkers say flavour has been axed after crisp fans feared 'national shortage'

Walkers say an iconic crisp flavour has been DISCONTINUED after fans feared "it was a national shortage". A Walkers fan favourite has been discontinued and Spicy Mixups are now longer available on shop shelves, the snack maker has said.

Walkers had a range of Mixups - including popcorn. Taking to X/Twitter this month, Walkers did a poll asking buyers what unavailable flavour they would bring back. Responding to a customer who said 'Spicy Mixups', Walkers responded and said: "I miss these too."

One previously asked: "Why is there a national shortage of Walkers Spicy Mixups!?!" A second wrote: "What has happened to the Spicy Mixups. Can’t get them anywhere??" Another said: "Do you still make MixUps Spicy flavour? Haven’t seen them in ages!"

"What’s going on with your Spicy Mixups? No stock anywhere and I’ve a daughter who’s livid. HELP!" another said. The mixed sharing bag featuring Wotsits, Doritos, French Fries and Monster Munch was "perfect for the whole family to share," according to online retailers.

A product description adds: "Liven up your snacking with this mouthwatering mix of Walkers best loved snacks packed full of spicy flavour." In recent months, the East Midlands based snack company has axed salt and vinegar Quavers, Walkers Max Flamin' Hot, the Peking Spare Rib oriental crackers, Worcester Sauce crisps, and Regal Mint & Lamb Sensations.

Just days before Christmas, Walkers left even more people heartbroken as it announced it was no longer making Cheese Mixups, which were a variety bag filled with Tangy Cheese Doritos, Cheese and Onion French Fries, Cheese Bugles, and Wotsits.

One fan asked: "@walkers_crisps have u stopped making the cheese mix-ups?" The official Walkers account responded with an apology, as they informed the disappointed fan: "We're sorry to break it to you, Alex we're not making this flavour anymore."
