Detectives have issued a warning to anyone helping to hide wanted Nuneaton teen Michael Leese. The 18-year-old remains on the run despite several appeals made to bring him to justice.

It includes a £1,000 reward being offered by independent charity Crimestoppers for anyone who can provide information on his whereabouts that leads to his arrest. As he remains at large, Detective Sergeant Alan Gardner said they know there are people hiding him - and warned they too will face action.

“We’d now like to speak to Leese about six offences in Warwickshire and it is vital we find him as soon as possible," DS Gardner said. "It is obvious there are people who know where he is, and I would like to be clear that anyone protecting him could face criminal action.

“If you are protecting Michael Leese, you can contact Crimestoppers and potentially receive a reward, or face criminal prosecution; the choice is yours."

Crimestoppers can be contacted via its website crimestoppers-uk.org or by calling the national contact centre on 0800 555 111.

Information can also be passed to Warwickshire Police and its officers say that anyone who sees Leese should call them immediately on 999. Details can also be passed on to police via 101.
