Warrington funeral directors appeal for donations for Foodbank collection point

A FUNERAL directors in Warrington has opened a drop off point for Warrington Foodbank to help supply people across town with essential items.

Co-op Funeral Care, on Bewsey Road, opened its foodbank drop off point a month ago and is appealing for donations.

The drop off point will act as a collection zone to help supply Warrington Foodbank with items across the variety of locations in town.

The food bank requires a variety of items to help people across Warrington access the essentials they need including:

  • Biscuits and crackers

  • Breakfast cereal

  • Tinned meat

  • Tinned tomatoes

  • Tinned spaghetti

  • UHT semi skimmed milk

  • Long life orange juice

  • Small boxes of teabags

  • Toiletries

  • Tinned pulses and sweetcorn

  • Carrier bags

  • Rice pudding

  • Custard

The drop off point is inside the funeral directors, which is open Monday to Friday from 9am until 5pm, and the team will collect the items to donate.

Alternatively, home collection can be arranged for those wanting to donate who are unable to bring the items to the drop off point.
