Warrington Wolves are sweating on the fitness of George Williams ahead of Saturday's clash against Hull FC at the MKM Stadium. The half-back missed last week's defeat to Salford Red Devils with a calf problem and is still doubtful to play in the game, despite being named in the 21-man squad.

Wire head coach Sam Burgess will give the England half every chance to feature, with the national side also monitoring his progress ahead of next week's mid-season international against France.

Elsewhere, winger Josh Thewlis has recovered from a pectoral problem and is expected to feature. Thewlis, a goal-kicking back, scored a hat-trick of tries against Hull back in May.

On the injury front, Warrington are still missing Joe Philbin and Jordan Crowther. Leon Hayes is out for the season with a double leg and ankle fracture.

Hull and Wire meet for the third time this season on Saturday, with the latter winning both fixtures at the Halliwell Jones Stadium. They defeated Hull 36-10 back in February and 24-6 last month.
