Harry Potter star Warwick Davis' wife Samantha passed away after a challenging battle with sepsis, meningitis and Strep B infections. Her husband confirmed her sad death in March.

He wrote: “My wife and soulmate, best friend. Devoted mother, My favorite human. My most trusted confidant and an ardent supporter of everything I did in my career, has passed,” he shared in a statement.

"She was a unique character, always seeing the sunny side of life she had a wicked sense of humour and always laughed at my bad jokes," he further added. Their offspring, Harrison and Annabelle, also paid tribute to their late mother, remarking that her "love and happiness carried us through our whole lives."

Back in 2018, Sammy bravely shared her struggle with the trio of infections she picked up following a spinal surgery. She confessed her belief that she was "going to die", admitting: "For four days I cried, 'I don't want to die,' I was absolutely sobbing. On the fifth day I thought, 'I'm gonna die and can't do anything about it.'".

However, after undergoing all these trials, she saw her close encounter with death as a pivotal moment in her life: "It was the best and worst experience of my life. The best because I've got a second chance but the worst because of the pain, and the post sepsis is really rubbish."

Her battle sparked a newfound appreciation of life and its delicate moments, as she said: "I want to tell everybody to love. One day I thought, 'This is it, I'm going' and I thought we need more time. Tell your kids you love them, tell your husbands... it's made me a better person. The kids say I'm a lot calmer and I can feel it.", reports the Express.

Meanwhile, Warwick described how quickly her health had deteriorated: "I think in those situations you put those thoughts to the back of your mind. But then at the time heading to AandE she was deteriorating by the minute, I noticed it really very quickly."
