‘Wash Hands’: Skywriter Spreads Hygiene Message to Sydneysiders

A skywriter delivered a message of good hygiene from the sky above Sydney on March 12, amid the global coronavirus pandemic.

The Australian Department of Health has urged citizens to wash their hands as part of preventive measures against the spread of COVID-19.

That message was reiterated in style above Sydney, where a skywriter had written “Wash Hands”.

Elisa Alonso recorded video of the message from the inner suburb of Forest Lodge. “Impressionante,” she can be heard saying.

Also in Australia on March 12, Tom Hanks revealed that he and his wife, Rita Wilson, were being treated for the coronavirus. Hanks is in Australia for pre-production work on a film about Elvis Presley, Warner Bros said. Credit: Elisa Alonso via Storyful
