The UEFA Euro 2024 tournament is now underway with 51 matches' worth of men's international football to enjoy.

The tournament, which kicked off on Friday, June 14 in Germany, brings 24 national sides together, including reigning champions Italy and European Championship finals debutants Georgia.

Hosts Germany opened the group stages that night with a dominant 5-1 win over Scotland. Steve Clarke's side have since drawn 1-1 with Switzerland, and can still qualify for the last 16 if they beat Hungary on Sunday (June 23).

Meanwhile, Gareth Southgate's England side won their first match against Serbia 1-0 thanks to a goal from La Liga superstar Jude Bellingham. They go on to play Denmark today, followed by Slovenia on Tuesday night (June 15).

The entire tournament is being broadcast on free-to-air television in the UK, with the rights shared between the BBC and ITV.

Here's how the schedules for each broadcaster are looking throughout the group stages – including where you can watch England and Scotland's group games.

Euro 2024 TV schedule - group stages

ITV has the first three picks for the Round of 16 matches, as well as first choice at the semi-finals stage. The BBC has first choice when selecting the quarter-final games, and both broadcasters will air the final.

England's next Group C fixture against Denmark airs today on BBC One. Then, it's over to ITV1 for the final England group game against Slovenia on Tuesday, June 25. The BBC will air Scotland's pivotal final group game against Hungary on Sunday, June 23.

For Coronation Street, Emmerdale and EastEnders fans looking to find out how their favourite soaps will be affected, check out our roundup of June's soaps schedule changes so far.

ITV has also confirmed Coronation Street and Emmerdale will stream on ITVX from 7am on the days each episode airs on TV – at least throughout the week of June 17-23.

Here's a day-by-day breakdown based on the publicly available schedules so far. Where a time is listed in this section, it's when the coverage is due to start on that channel, rather than when the game kicks off.

All BBC games will also stream live on BBC iPlayer and all ITV games will also stream live on ITVX:

Euro 2024 TV schedule - knockout stages

This is where it starts to get a bit more complicated. As for the Round of 16, as mentioned above there are two possible schedule options based on which matches ITV chooses to air once the group stages are resolved.

This will also impact the BBC's schedules in some way – during the Round of 16, it also has to accommodate live coverage of Glastonbury 2024 between June 28 and 30 plus tennis from Wimbledon, which starts on Monday, July 1.

We'll update once those picks have been made – but for now, here are the matches you can expect on which days. In this section, the times listed are kick-off times – once the schedules are confirmed, we'll update this to the coverage times.

And as if that wasn't complicated enough, the four best-placed third-placed teams from the six groups will also go through to the Round of 16.

To determine who makes it, all six teams go into their own mini-league table once the group stages are concluded. The teams will be separated by points at first, of course. Then in the event of any ties they will work through goal difference, goals scored and number of tournament wins to try and separate them.

If they're still struggling, then UEFA will consider a team's disciplinary record, followed by their performance in the qualifying tournament.

Tuesday, July 2

The quarter-finals will be played on Friday, July 5 and Saturday, July 6, followed by the semi-finals on Tuesday, July 9 and Wednesday, July 10. The Euro 2024 final is booked for Sunday, July 14.

They will be supported by co-commentary from five former international footballers – Alan Shearer, Danny Murphy, James McFadden, The One Show host Jermaine Jenas and Martin Keown.
