Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom has been teasing details in recent months, drip-feeding us images from the follow-up to the 2015 film.

But now we have what appears to be actual footage from the movie.

Colin Trevorrow, who directed the first reboot, has tweeted a clip of Chris Pratt's dinosaur trainer Owen Grady getting up close and personal with what appears to be a baby velociraptor:

Grady can be seen gently making himself familiar to the responsive baby – who bears more than a passing resemblance to raptor Blue from Jurassic World.

But we're not just revisiting old dinosaurs int he sequel – we'll reportedly meet a new dinosaur called an IndoRaptor, a genetically modified hybrid dino (like the Indominus Rex before it) which Trevorrow teased in an earlier tweet announcing filming had wrapped:

Universal recently filed licensing rights for that term, but the film company is refusing to comment further.

JA Bayona has taken up directing duties for the sequel, with Bryce Dallas Howard joining Pratt once again.

Jeff Goldblum is also making the jump from the original trilogy to this new series as cynic Dr Ian Malcolm, while Ted Levine, Rafe Spall, Toby Jones and Geraldine Chaplin are also on board.

Pratt has promised Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom will be "a scarier version, a little bit darker, and will continue to expand and carry the story forward in a way that is really unexpected and you wouldn't have imagined."

We can't wait!

Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom will be released on June 7, 2018 in the UK, and June 22, 2018 in the US.
