Watch: Florence Pugh hit in the face by object thrown at film event
Florence Pugh was hit in the face by an object thrown by a member of the audience at an event in Brazil.
The actress, 27, was in Sao Paulo promoting Dune: Part Two alongside co-stars Timothée Chalamet, Austin Butler and Zendaya.
As she posed for a group photo in front of screaming fans, cameras captured a small projectile hitting her right cheek.
She then bent down to pick up the object, which has not been identified.
Pugh’s co-stars immediately checked whether she had been hurt.
The Oxford-born film star is the latest in a string of celebrities – including Harry Styles and Bebe Rexha, the American pop star – who have been hit by objects thrown by audiences.
She had earlier said it felt “really, really special” being cast in the sequel.
“I had an amazing time coming in and just hanging around with these people, let alone actually getting to work with them,” she told the audience. “Coming in here – the power in this room – is because of that first movie, and we felt that when we went on set every single day.”
