How to watch Glastonbury 2024 live - BBC TV and radio day-by-day schedule

Glastonbury Festival 2024 is almost upon us, with hundreds of thousands of people set to make the journey to Worthy Farm this week.

Tickets can be extremely difficult to come by, but if you missed out you'll be able to catch all the action live on TV. Music will also be broadcast live on the Glastonbury app, as well as on the radio.

Some people might argue that this is the best way to enjoy all Glastonbury has to offer, as you'll be avoiding the mud, the queues, and the lack of a proper toilets.

Live coverage on the BBC will begin on the festival's first day on Wednesday, June 26. It will then run until the major music event ends on Sunday, June 30.

On Friday, Dua Lipa will take to the Pyramid stage as this year's first headliner. Coldplay will then follow on Saturday, with SZA closing the festival on Sunday, and Shania Twain is taking this year's Legends Slot.

Glastonbury Friday TV schedule

Multiple live streams dedicated to Glastonbury will be available on BBC iPlayer begin at 6pm on Friday, with times varying for each. If you don't like the act on the first channel, you can switch to Glastonbury Channel II, and the Pyramid, Other, West Holts, Woodsies, and The Park also all have their own dedicated live feeds.

And at 7.30pm Jo Whiley and Jack Saunders will be live from Glastonbury on BBC Two, bringing all the highlights from the first day. At the same time, on BBC Four, you can tune in for Paul Heaton and the Sugababes, while Dexys and PJ Harvey will be live from 9pm, also on BBC Four.

Idles' set will be streamed from 10.15pm on BBC Four, with the main event, Dua Lipa's performance, live on BBC One from 10.30pm.

Jungle's performance will air at 11.30pm on BBC Four, and if you're still awake at midnight Jo and Jack will be back on BBC Two to lift the lid on what Glastonbury is like after dark, as well as recapping the highlights.

Glastonbury Saturday TV schedule

BBC Two are live from Glastonbury from 5-9pm, with Clara Amfo and Lauren Laverne joining Jack and Jo. Expect performances from Camila Cabello, The Streets, and Little Simz.

Corinne Bailey Rae's West Holts slot will air on BBC Four at 7pm, with Keane and Nitin Sawhney following at 8pm on the same channel. After this, Orbital will open for Peggy Gou on the Park Stage, and coverage starts at 9.15pm, again on BBC Four.

Coldplay's headline performance will then be broadcast on both BBC One and BBC Two at 10pm. Jessie Ware and Disclosure fans can then catch their sets at 10.15pm and 11.45pm, respectively, on BBC Four, and there'll be more highlights from midnight on BBC Two.

Glastonbury Sunday TV schedule

Shania Twain will make her debut appearance at Glastonbury on Sunday, with her performance airing on BBC One at 6.15pm. After this, music fans can catch Seasick Steve and Paloma Faith on BBC Four at 7pm.

Lauren, Jack, Clara and Jo will be back for more live coverage from 7.30pm on BBC Two, with the usual mix of interviews and performances. Fans can expect Burna Boy and Avril Lavigne, among other huge names.

Steel Pulse and Brittany Howard will be on BBC Four at 8.30pm, before the National at 9.45pm on the same channel. SZA's closing headline act will then be broadcast on BBC One from 10pm.

As with the previous two days, there'll be more highlights on Sunday, though airing from the slightly earlier time of 11.45pm.

Can I listen to Glastonbury on the radio?

Yes. Music fans can listen on 87.7FM, online here, or by using the Glastonbury app. Alternatively, BBC Sounds is providing coverage from 3pm on Thursday, June 27, through to Monday, July 1.
