Stan Lee brings the heroes of Netflix and Marvel's interconnected universe together in an inspiring new teaser.
In the footage released internationally by Netflix, scenes of the Defenders and the Punisher in action are intercut with the Marvel Comics legend delivering an empowering endorsement of the street-level heroes.

"They're the greatest stories ever told," he begins. "Heroes show us we don't need to be perfect to do what's right. It's not about living without fear but facing injustice.
"It's not about being powerful but finding your calling when you least expect it. They show us that it's okay to be vulnerable, no matter how tough you are.
"Because even though they're heroes, they're still human."
Well said, Stan! Although we have a sneaky suspicion you're trying to justify the massive body count that The Punisher left behind in Daredevil.
Still, maybe we can rely on Uncle Stan to convince Marvel Studios head honcho Kevin Feige to bring Marvel's TV and movies together at least for a Defenders/Avengers crossover.
"We have a lot of characters in the MCU, and one of the things that is so special about those characters on the Netflix shows is their dynamic together," Feige recently said (to everyone's disappoinment.
"They are all combining to become The Defenders later this year and are doing their own thing."
The Defenders are coming to Netflix on August 18, while The Punisher follows later this year.
