Waterloo Road star Tillie Amartey has confirmed that she's dating rapper and actor Bugzy Malone, after the pair made a public appearance together at Royal Ascot last week.

Amartey, who plays Stacey 'Stace' Neville on Waterloo Road, posed with the rapper and The Gentlemen actor at the racing event and reportedly confirmed their romance, with The Daily Mail writing that she said on the day: "I feel really privileged to be here with an extremely gentlemanly man".

Neither Amartey nor Malone has made any further comment on their relationship.

Amartey was previously romantically linked to EastEnders actor Bobby Brazier, while Malone was rumoured to be dating Love Island star Gemma Owen last year, although both denied that they were romantically involved.

Malone released his third full-length album The Great British Dream last month, and after working with Guy Ritchie on The Gentlemen, he reunited with the filmmaker for last year's Operation Fortune: Rue de Guerre.

Amartey is also known for her appearance on Strictly Come Dancing's Christmas special last year, during which she performed a jive with professional dancer Neil Jones.

Ahead of her Strictly appearance, the actor said "My family have been avid fans of Strictly since forever so no pressure.

"The nerves are real, but I am super excited to bring some much-needed joy to the telly while I shimmy and sparkle my two left feet through the Christmas special!"

Amartey made her first appearance as Stace in Waterloo Road earlier this year, with her character being introduced as a long-term school refuser brought in as part of a group of new students by headteacher Kim Campbell.

Stace quickly clashed with fellow student Samia Choudhry, with Amartey saying that "in the long run, Stace would want to be Samia's friend but she doesn't know how to go about it".

She continued: "Samia was top dog and quite solid in school. Stace wants to ruffle her feathers as she wants that position.

"There's a tiny bit of a narcissist's personality – she's obsessed with herself, and if someone is seen as better than her, she'll try to change that."

Waterloo Road airs on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
