An Conservative MP has been elected for the first time in Kent's newly created Weald of Kent constituency with a large majority. The result was the opposite to the national picture where Labour have seen huge gains in a landslide victory across the country.

Katie Lam was elected Weald of Kent's MP with 20,202 votes, Labour came in second with 11,780 votes and Reform came a close third with 10,208.

The constituency was created as part of the boundary changes introduced in 2024 after the completion of review in 2023. It is deemed to be one of the most rural seats in the South East.
