Weather for Mac review

Weather for Mac presents updated weather information for any location. Through the app's attractive interface, you can easily see what the current temperature is and what the next few days will bring.

Pros

Display and layout preferences: You can choose between two different layouts. You can also switch temperature readings between Fahrenheit and Celsius, wind speed between kilometers per hour, miles per hour, or meters per second, and pressure between inches, mm, or mbar.

Nice navigation: All weather data is presented on the same screen. When you want to move from one location to another or access any of the different settings, navigation is smooth and intuitive. Even novice users will have no trouble finding their way around this app.

Cons

Lacking features: There is no radar image available, no percentage chance of precipitation given, and no written forecast describing current or future conditions. You can also only add two saved locations to switch between.

Inconsistent performance: Occasionally only the date and time showed up, even though the app indicated that it was showing information for the locations we'd specified previously. At other times, the app would open like it had never been used before, and we needed to go in and choose a location all over again in order to get any data.

Bottom Line

Weather for Mac is a nice, basic program for viewing current weather conditions and getting an idea of what the future holds. But its performance and list of features definitely leave something to be desired.
