Yahoo News Wednesday casts Billie Piper as three original stars exit show
Wednesday has confirmed the casting of Billie Piper for season 2, as three original stars exit the series.
The long-awaited second season of the Netflix hit has started filming in Ireland, with the streamer confirming the exciting news today (May 7) with a teaser and new cast additions.
In the clip, Thing delivers scripts to the doors of cast members old and new, including Scoop's Piper and main star Jenna Ortega.

Also joining the series are Fool Me Once's Joanna Lumley, original Addams Family star Christopher Lloyd, The Kominsky Method's Haley Joel Osment, Law & Order's Noah Taylor, Return to Silent Hill's Evie Templeton, The Handmaid’s Tale's Owen Painter, Scream's Heather Matarazzo and Star Wars' Joonas Suotamo.
Previously revealed cast members Steve Buscemi and Thandiwe Newton have also been officially confirmed, while Catherine Zeta-Jones, Luis Guzmán, Isaac Ordonez and Luyanda Unati Lewis-Nyawo have all been upped to series regulars.
However, regular stars Percy Hynes White, Jamie McShane and Naomi J Ogawa, who play Xavier Thorpe, Donovan Galpin and Yoko Tanaka, respectively, have exited – though McShane will reportedly return in a guest capacity, Deadline reports.

Speaking upon today's cast announcements, Wednesday creators Al Gough and Miles Millar said: “We are thrilled that the entire Addams family will be enrolling in Nevermore Academy this season along with a dream cast of icons and new faces.”
Meanwhile, Ortega previously teased that the second season will focus less on the teen romance aspect seen in season 1.
"We're ditching any romantic love interest for Wednesday, which is really great," she told Variety. "We've decided we want to lean into the horror aspect of the show a little bit more.
"Because it is so lighthearted, and a show like this with vampires and werewolves and superpowers, you don't want to take yourself too seriously."
Wednesday season 1 is streaming now on Netflix, with season 2 now in production.
