Wembley stabbing: Man, 28, fighting for life after being knifed in fight in west London

A man was fighting for life in hospital last night after being stabbed during a fight in west London.

Police and the London Ambulance Service raced to Preston Road, in Wembley, at about 6.30pm to reports of two men fighting, Scotland Yard said.

A 28-year-old man was found with stab wounds and taken to hospital.

A spokesman for the Met Police said his condition is being treated as life-threatening.

Pictures taken at the scene showed a cordon in place at the scene.

The force said there have been no arrests.

The stabbing is the second instance of violence in west London today after another man was stabbed in West Drayton.

Police in Hillingdon said they were called to Camomile Way at around 3pm and found a man with stab wounds.

His injuries have been confirmed to be non-life threatening.

Seven people have been arrested for offences including grievous bodily harm, assisting an offender and possession of firearms, Scotland Yard said.

Officers remained on the scene.
