A West Lothian driver was halted on Saturday after officers made a vital discovery while on patrol.

Road Police were carrying out checks on Saturday, April 27, before pulling one driver to a standstill. A speed check found that the motorist was driving at 57mph in a 40mph limit on the B9080.

Further investigations also found that the driver had a 'revoked' drivers licence and had taken the car without his mum's permission.

"Also the driver had a revoked driving licence, no insurance and had taken the car without his mothers permission. #Fatal5 #CheckYourDocuments".
