Music group reunions are quite the trend recently – so we're probably due for a Westlife comeback at some point, right?

The Irish group enjoyed plenty of success between 1998 and 2012, so there would be a whole lot of demand for the boys to get back together.

But bandmember Shane Filan has said that he doubts former member Brian McFadden – who quit in 2004 – would be involved in any potential reunion.

"I haven't seen Brian in ten years," he said. "We've just lost touch. It's like going to school with somebody and then not speaking.

"I wouldn't speak to him to reminisce. Not at all.

"We all had a good relationship with Brian, then he just left the band very early on. And I don't think we would ever reunite with him."

Shane added that he doesn't consider Brian part of the group because he had left at such an early stage.

"I honestly see Westlife as being four people now," he explained. "The four people who started and finished Westlife are what I consider the band.

"Brian has been out of the band longer than he was in it. If we ever reunited down the line, it would only be the four of us."

Back in December, manager Louis Walsh suggested that a Westlife reunion could be on the cards – but he also hinted that it would be without Brian.

"I prefer a happy band and four happy people," The X Factor judge said. "They all know each other, they all respect each other."

Sorry, Bry.
