Wetherspoons axes 18 drinks from pub menus in brutal cull

Wetherspoons has AXED 18 drinks from its menus in a brutal cull. Wetherspoons has dropped 18 drinks from its menu but added a number of others as it revamps its menu for the upcoming spring and summer season.

The 18 drinks no longer available to customers include Lambs Navy Rum as well as Bombay Bramble and Gordon's Sicilian Lemon. Other tipples axed include Duppy Share White and Chase pink grapefruit pomelo gin as well as Buffalo Trace and Tanqueray Spritz.

Bubblegin has also been axed alongsde Bubblegin syrup, Smirnoff and Monster pitcher, Tropical Raspberry Corona Seltzer and Tropical Guava Corona Seltzer. Manquila shooters, Williams Bros Tin Man, Inniss & Gunn Mangoes on the Run and Backyard 3 States have also been removed.

The other axes include Rooster's Baby Faced Assassin and The Dalston's Rhubarb. But there are two new world beers added to the range are Cerveza Pacifico Clara (4.5% ABV), a Mexican Pilsener-style beer, better known as Pacifico, and Stella Unfiltered (5.0% ABV), a hazy golden lager.

Two new vodkas and a new rum have also been added to the ever-growing selection of spirits on the drinks menu. XIX Vodka, a drinks company started by YouTube icons Sidemen, has partnered with Wetherspoon to deliver its Tropical Ice vodka (37.5% ABV) at pubs across the UK.

This can be enjoyed straight, on ice and with a favourite mixer. The Kraken Black Spiced Rum Black Cherry & Madagascan Vanilla (40% ABV), has also been added alongside two new liqueurs in Mozart White Chocolate cream liqueur (15% ABV), and Tequila Rose (15% ABV), the original strawberry cream liqueur.

No- and low-alcohol drinks NEW to the menu include Corona Cero and Thatchers Zero. Wetherspoon has also introduced another 0 per cent cocktail, called Passion Fruit Coole as well as Monster Energy Ultra Peachy Keen.
