What a cool ride: Sculptors build truck made out of ICE (and it works!)

This unique vehicle is set for a place in the record books - after experts sculpted the working truck out of 11,000lbs of ICE.

The remarkable ‘ice truck’ comes complete with license plates, a pine tree-shaped air freshener, and special fans to prevent the exterior from melting.

A team from ‘Iceculture’ in Ontario, Canada, drove the vehicle for a whole mile at 12mph - and they now reckon the truck is on for a Guinness World Record.

It has a steel frame to provide extra support, as well as fans which stopped the hot air and exhaust fumes from melting its outside.

The sculpture was commissioned by Canadian Tire, to show how well car batteries it makes hold up in extreme cold.

Heidi Bayley, from Iceculture, said: ‘It was probably one of the biggest challenges we've ever done.’

After being showed off, the pickup was parked and left to melt which took a whopping 40 hours.
