Whoopi Goldberg Staged a High School Graduation on “Sister Act 2” Set for Cast Who Missed Ceremony (Exclusive)

Actor David Kater recalled the sweet gesture during a cast reunion of the 1993 sequel on 'The View'

Whoopi Goldberg made sure the young cast of Sister Act 2: Back in the Habit didn't miss out on any milestones.

During The View's special cast reunion of the 1993 sequel, actor David Kater — who played one of the students in the choir featured in the film — revealed that the EGOT winner staged a high school graduation for her castmates who had missed their own ceremony while they were filming in San Francisco.

"We couldn't go back because production wouldn't allow it because we were on location," Kater, 49, said in an exclusive clip of the episode shared ahead of its airing on Wednesday, June 5. "I was super upset, too, because I had written the song for my graduation — I went to an arts high school, so it was a big graduation thing. And this beautiful lady right here just surprised us with the most amazing gift which was basically corralling everybody and giving us an on-set graduation."
