Why Suki Waterhouse and Robert Pattinson Skipped the 2024 Met Gala

While actor Robert Pattinson and singer Suki Waterhouse attended their first Met Gala together as a couple last year, they were absent from this year’s festivities, leaving fans curious about their whereabouts. Their absence could be largely due to the fact that they welcomed a child together in March 2024, and could be occupied by their parental duties.

The singer and the actor made their Met Gala debut as a couple in 2023. With the theme “Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty,” Waterhouse wore a transparent nude, floral dress by Fendi, adding heeled sandals. Her makeup look featured lots of pink blush that blended into her colorful eyeshadow. Pattinson kept it classic in a navy blue Dior tuxedo with a long tailcoat and black bejeweled dress shoes.

Waterhouse first announced her pregnancy with Pattinson in November 2023 on stage at the Corona Capital Festival in Mexico. She was dressed in a glittery purple minidress underneath a feather coat with sequin knee-high boots. In a video shared on X, Waterhouse said from the stage, “I’m extra sparkly today because I thought it might distract you from something else that’s going on,” and the crowd erupted in cheers.

“I’m not sure if it’s working,” she added.
