If there's one thing people can really get behind, it's spending time watching a really stunning nature documentary.

There's a reason David Attenborough is so loved, and it's not just because he has a great voice – the genius behind Planet Earth united us all in the joy of watching a show about a place we'd probably never get to see ourselves.

Well, if this sounds like your jam then get excited because there's a new wildlife documentary to sink your teeth into in the form of BBC One's Wild Alaska Live.

It's presented by Matt Baker, Steve Backshall, and Liz Bonnin – the team who also fronted Big Blue Live and Stargazing Live – and the three-part show will give us an insight into one of the most remote parts of the world.

The first episode aired tonight, and it impressed with its beautiful footage of bears, whales, wolves and many more wild animals found in Alaska

Looking over what people have been saying online, it's clear that viewers at home are absolutely loving it, with plenty of people adding Alaska to the bucket list.

Right, so, anyone want to put some funds in for a collective Alaska-travels fund?

Wild Alaska Live will continue on BBC One on Wednesday, July 26 at 8pm.
