Wind Gusts Propel Wildfire in California's East, Prompting Evacuations

A wildfire burning in California’s east “grew significantly” on June 22 after wind gusts fanned the blaze overnight, according to fire authorities.

The Inyo Creek Fire near Lone Pine grew to 410 acres and forced evacuations of nearby residents.
