Winds Batter the Bahamas as Hurricane Isaias Approaches Florida Coast

Hurricane Isaias brought dangerous storm conditions to the Bahamas on Friday, July 31, as it made its way toward the southeastern coast of the Florida peninsula, where it was expected to hit late Saturday afternoon.

The National Hurricane Center warned “Isaias will produce heavy rains and potentially life-threatening flash and urban flooding, especially in low-lying and poorly drained areas, across South to east-Central Florida, and across the Carolinas to the mid Atlantic.”
