Finding a well-rounded red wine that won't break the bank can be a challenge for the taste buds. Knowing how to avoid a sour tasting tipple with nasal-burning undertone of vinegar can be the difference between enjoying a glass of red and absolutely hating it.

Luckily for us, Luke Flunder Wine Guy has been helping his 200k plus followers find the right wine for every occasion, many of which are available from local supermarkets and wine shops. In a recent TikTok, the former manager at Majestic Wines, shared his thoughts on a £10 bottle of Malbec recommended to him by his followers.

In a video shared on TikTok, Flunder doesn't even wait to pay for the bottle, he simply pops a glass out of his pocket and pours a taste right there and then in the supermarket aisle, leaving his followers asking "how has he not got arrested".

One big tasting swig later Luke describes his first taste of The Wanderer as being "bonkers on the berries."

He continues "there is a lot of spice and a little bit of sweetness. It's like a blue whale in a goldfish bowl. Huge!"

The Suffolk wine expert does add that The Wanderer is not a "great representation of a Malbec grape" but considers the wine to be very flavoursome all the same.

He also reassures fans by adding that "a copy of the receipt is available for anyone who requires it."

According to the The Wanderer website, it is a "Malbec like no other. Made from longer ripened grapes for a smoother, richer red. Sun-soaked days and longer ripened grapes are the making of this uniquely bold, smooth Malbec."

Available from Sainsbury's, Morrisons, Co-Op and Asda, wine lovers can 'wander' their own way to find a bottle, but they should probably pay for it first.
