Comic book fans thrilled as Winter Olympics skaters perform as Joker and Harley Quinn
Comic book fans were thrilled as two skaters at the Winter Olympics performed as the Joker and Harley Quinn.
German ice dancers Katharina Mueller and Tim Dieck took to the ice in Beijing on Friday.
Mueller channelled DC Comics character Harley, with her hair tied back in bunches, striped shorts and a pink leotard, with a sheer shirt emblazoned with the word “Quinn” over the top.

Dieck wore black trousers and a shimmering purple jacket over a bright green waistcoat, with what looked like a chunky chain around his neck, and one glove.
Many fans took to Twitter to express their delight over the quirky routine.
“That Joker/Harley Quinn ice skating dance routine was fire,” said one fan.
One called it "a brave choice" and another tweeted: “Bold choice of Germany to rock Joker and Harley Quinn cosplay at the Olympics.”
“Olympics are wild, just watched a German figure skating duo perform in Joker/Harley Quinn outfits,” said another.
“Absolutely losing it watching these German ice dancers dressed as The Joker and Harley Quinn skating to a spooky cover of Toxic right now,” said another.
One person posted: “As a former figure skater, I couldn’t even imagine seeing an Olympic skater have nail polish, let alone coloured hair. Watching a dance team dressed up as the Joker and Harley Quinn is so wild to me.
"I’m glad the sport is progressing, even if it’s slowly.”
However, not everyone was so keen on the routine.
