Wishaw charity's staff will be made up with new tattoos if fundraising target is reached

Staff at a Wishaw charity for children and young people have pledged to get tattoos if they reach a fundraising target.

Among those to put themselves forward to be permanently inked is Clare McCormack the CEO of MADE4U in ML2.

The community project, that is based at its centre in Greenfield Drive, Cambusnethan, is hosting an action-packed week of events as it bids to raise vital funds which will be used to make a meaningful impact on the lives of young people in the community.

The MADE4U team curated a line-up of exciting activities during the week-long extravaganza, which promised something for everyone.

A diverse range of events designed to engage and entertain, includes leg waxing, hair-dying, an ice bucket challenge, a delectable bake sale, and the opportunity to “soak the staff”.

For every £50 that was raised on the first day of fundraising a member of staff went through the pain barrier by having their legs waxed. And three members of staff vowed to have their hair dyed pink if the fundraising broke through the £2500 mark.

To add to the excitement and anticipation, if a fundraising target of £4000 was met by Friday, four staff and committee members will permanently show their commitment and dedication to the community cause by having a tattoo of the MADE4U logo!

The week’s festivities will culminate with the eagerly anticipated Wee Wander three-mile Kiltwalk, which 24 members of staff and volunteers will be doing together.
