WIVELISCOMBE man Chris Briggs has donated £1,000 to support the future of WiveyPool.

Mr Briggs and his pal Martin Greenway used the pool as children and played skittles together for over 40 years.

Now grandparents, their generous donation will maintain the pool, which is set to celebrate its centennial in 2027.

This gesture, greatly appreciated by WiveyPool, ensures it remains an integral part of local community life for their grandchildren's generation.

The pair made the donation on behalf of their skittle team, the Old Wivey Young Farmers.
