Woman, 70, found 'unexpectedly' dead in West London home as police force entry

Police have launched an appeal for information after a woman was found dead in her Kensal Town home.

Rita Fleming, 70, was found by officers on June 23 after concerns were raised over her wellbeing. They had to force their way into the home on Goldborne Road.

Just before 10am, they found her unresponsive - she was later pronounced dead at the scene.

Rita's next of kin has been told. Her death is being treated as unexpected and unexplained, and detectives have asked anyone who saw or heard from her between June 20 to 23 to get in touch.

DCI Alison Foxwell said: “My team continues to work to establish the events that led to Rita’s death. This includes trying to build as comprehensive a picture as possible about her movements in the days prior to her being found.

“I would ask anyone who saw or heard from Rita from the 20 th to 23 rd of June, or anyone who has information they think could be relevant to this investigation, to get in contact with police immediately.”
