Woman critically injured after vehicle drives into tents at Welsh campsite
A woman is fighting for her life in hospital after a vehicle ploughed into tents at a campsite in Wales.
Two men have been arrested after four campers were injured in a “terrifying” incident at the Rhyd y Galen site near Caernarfon on Sunday.
One of the victims suffered critical injuries and is fighting for her life in hospital.
Detective Chief Inspector Sion Williams, from North Wales Police, said: “This was a terrifying event for people who should have felt safe in their tents.
“North Wales Police are supporting those involved and our thoughts are with the family of the woman who has been seriously injured.
“I would like to thank those members of the public who have helped us, but if anyone has not been spoken to yet and has any information which could assist, then please contact us.

A spokesperson for the Welsh Ambulance Service confirmed receiving calls about a collision between a vehicle and a tent overnight.
“We were called on Monday 19 August at approximately 02:02 am to reports of a collision between a vehicle and a tent in Caernarf
We responded with two emergency ambulances. One patient was transported to Ysbyty Gwynedd Hospital, Bangor.”
The incident comes at a time when many flock to Snowdonia, a popular destination for families, during the summer holidays.
