Woman dead and three people injured after blaze at caravan in Suffolk
A woman has died and three other people injured after a blaze at a caravan in Suffolk.
The fire broke out at 4.40am on Sunday (24 July) at a site near Saxmundham.
Fire crews, the ambulance service and police attended the incident, which left one woman dead.
Three people were injured and taken to hospital after the blaze, which was limited to one caravan, police confirmed in a statement.
The incident is now being jointly investigated by Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service, East Suffolk Council and Suffolk Police.
The statement said: "Fire crews, the Ambulance Service and Police attended a caravan fire at a site near Saxmundham early this morning (24 July).
"One woman died in the blaze and three other people were injured and are in hospital.
"The fire broke out at around 4.40am and was confined to one caravan.
"The Fire Service, East Suffolk Council and Suffolk Police are jointly investigating the incident.
"Police officers are supporting the next of kin."

Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service confirmed the fire took place at Wardspring Farm in Leiston Road.
The site was reported to be home to Happy Days Retro Vacations, where seven Airstream caravans are available to rent.
According to the PA news agency, on Sunday night the owners had not responded to a request for comment and the site's own website appeared to be offline.
The site, where some booking sites price a caravan at around £66 per night, was also shown as closed on some websites.
